The End of the First Term: Christmas Break

Well now it’s time for me to go home for Christmas and New Year. So far I’ve been putting extra work into my programming but I still feel very inexperienced to the subject. I have an assignment to hand in and I have yet to work on it due to being ill and not fully understanding how to do it. Over the break I hope to complete this assignment and hand it in for the second hand in date. Hopefully after working on it I will be more positive about the subject.

One Month In: Still Enjoying The Course?

I’ve been here for a month now and I love Manchester, the city is great and the people are friendly. The course is a little boring at times but I enjoy the majority of its contents. For example on Friday’s we get to work on the music software “Logic”. With this program we are able to compose music and then use this composition as we wish. However I do not enjoy the java programming side of the course, I find it very confusing and difficult. I will concentrate of improving my java skills in the upcoming months so I will be more confident in passing this section.

This picture was taken from the Apple website. it is the interface of the program Logic.

My First Week: The Introduction

I have come to Manchester Metropolitan University to study Computer Music Technology and Digital Media. My first week was very exciting as I came to move into my halls and met all of my flatmates. I have so far gotten on quite well with them and realised that I share common interests with a few of them. I was then introduced to my course and other people on it. Everyone seems to be at a similar level and I have enjoyed the lectures so far. I look forward to continuing the course throughout the year.

I found this picture off the homepage of the university website.
